Porto in the plans

So the travel bug has hit us again, but this time nearer to home.  This time it was also to make our daughter happy as she has never flown before and since we're not sure how she'll enjoy it, we've decided to keep it on home ground so to speak aha.

So tickets have been purchased with Ryanair once again, seats booked and paid for and extra lugage also purchased.  Our accommodation was booked through Booking but then we decided to change and booked with Hoteis.com.  The reson we changed is that with Booking we were staying in a Hostel but no private bathroom and with this new arrangement we have our own private bathroom ;)  and it's in the centre of Porto.Image result for porto
If you're interested here is our plan for the days we'll be spending there.  Obviously this may change slightly once there ;)

DIA 1 – 2 NOV. 2018

From the airport we caught the uber for a mere 5€.  Since our room wouldn't be ready till after 13:00 we did some of the planned and after lunch went to the Hotel to leave our lugage and see our room for the next 3 days.  The room was really very comfy and clean as was the bathroom and we had all the necessary to keep us happy 🙋 After dropping of our bags we went to see the Colleseum and Praça da Batalha.  We had dinner and bought some goodies for breakie the next day and after a tiring day decided to head back to the Hotel.
My daughter noted that Porto is all very old aha and in fact lots of construction work was going on.  The Bolhão Market is undergoing big modifications and they have a temporary one working.  The weather is also playing along nicely and although in the morning it was overcast in the afternoon it cleared up nicely and we had a nice sunny day.  Now enjoy the photos of this amazing city.

P.S. Just in case anyones interested I'll leave our itinerary here. Day 1
