Badoca Safari Park / Sines

So on easter Sunday since none of us are very religious we decided to take a road trip and once again go and visit Badoca Safari Park.  I being African, it's the closest I can feel to that open wild nature feeling...yes you've guessed it although I love being in Europe I miss my South African very, very much ;)  After visiting the park we also took a trip to Sines which is well know for it's refinery's and lovely beaches. It's in the district of Setubal and the Alentejo region and has about 18,298 inhabitants. Also the birthplace of Vasco da Gama. For me it only has one downfall, it's a little windy :)

But before all the photos let me tell you something about Badoca Safari Park...

Badoca Safari Park is located in the IC3, between Santiago do Cacém and Sines, about 34 km (21 miles) from the Grândola exit.

No need to bring food as at the park there is a panoramic restaurant, a naturally integrated location with a glorious view over the savanna. If you prefer to have a meal closer to Nature, they also have a large picnic area, complete with tables and benches, underneath pine trees.
You can be in direct contact with exotic birds in ther gardens and let yourself be submerged in this surreal experience with various species – macaws, parrots, and a lot more!
